band last night was really good, but really hard work. In youth band, Amy is doing a lot of interesting things and since we don't have a concert for a while, she's been using large chunks of rehearsal to ddo things other than jsut play and rehearse. Rehearsals for the nationals are fun :) Although my experiences have been a bit different to yours, this weekend my biggest accomplishment was getting a 3rd clarinet to play on a harder reed so she wasnt a semitone flat :) Im so proud. Closely followed by teaching beginners to play Liberty Bell when they didnt understand the notation for 6/8, and getting saxes to put some air through their instruments and play with a good sound.
I'm exhausted, but i dont think it was in vain :P

And yay for section leader, its a good job :)

out of tune bassoons are very funny :p
