Not having a linear thought process occasionally sucks.  Like for my Hetalia Hockey!AU, the status goes like this

• Chapter 1=done and posted
• Chapter2=done and posted (but may need some editing)
• Chapter3=done and posted
• Chapter 4=well, I have the first have and the part 5/6 but not 3/6 or 6/6
• Chapter 5=first half, and last eighth

I go through periods of obsessively looking up nutritional data (like now) which freaks my mom out.  But I only do a rough estimate of calorie counting (1200-1800 calories a day is good to me) and the data I am more interested in is vitamins, protein, and iron and how nutritionally balanced the food is.  Like half an avocado possibly has 2g protein ( Read more... )

So last week I volunteered with the Uiowa Environmental Coalition at Janelle Monae's Campus Conservation (or something like that) concert.
Which, while long, was rather awesome for the following reasons:

• free concert
• Janelle is an awesome showman/performer
• free water bottle (good timing since I dropped and broke my last one)

 I hear my mom scream and I nearly run upstairs to see what is wrong.  Then I remember football pre-season has started.
More screaming and "Come on!"
Situation normal.  I go back to drinking tea.  

So my dad asked me to do help with making a shirt design for the motorcycle ride he is going on with friends.  This wouldn't be a problem if,

1.  He would make up his mind.

2.  He actually knew what he wanted.

3.  My right hand wasn't cramping to the point not doing anything with is hurts.

I have successfully donated blood three times in my life.  I have tried seven times. 
My old problem was low iron.  Going vegetarian and taking regular vitamins has helped eliminate that.
Then I have the issue of blood flow issues.  The volunteers always have issues finding my veins and my blood flows slowly.  One time, after an hour I didn't have ( Read more... )

There is this guy who isn't exactly a friend but we kind of get along.

He's easy to bug and very intelligent. He's amusing sometimes and ridiculous other times. Our interests rarely mesh. I don't want to hang out with him often but I can tell him things I don't usually tell others because his opinion of me can't get much lower though I know of ( Read more... )

My brother, quite shockingly, did the right thing.

Except he didn't ask how much and was two hundred short.

And now I am witnessing the resulting fight through a notepad in the kitchen.

I miss my dorm.

I think the reasonable response to punching a hole in the wall because you fought with your best friend is to ask Dad to give a quote for how much is needed to fix the hole and handover your paycheck until it is paid off.

Let's see what my brother ends up doing.
