IC Information:

Character Name: Rokudo Mukuro
Character Journal: pickldpineapple
Canon: Katekyo hitman reborn
Point in Canon: Varia arc during the sky battle, while he's chillaxing in his giant pickle jar in prison.
Age:15
Birthday: June 9
Appearance: Mukuro has a tall lean build standing at 5'8 and weighing about 136 pounds. He's got blue hair cut in a way easiest described as resembling a pineapple (with a snazzy styled part of course). His clothes usually resemble uniforms (he has admitted taking a liking to the various school uniforms in the area, though sometimes his outfits appear more military style). He's got one blue eye, but his right eye is distinctively red with the Japanese symbol for the number 1-6 in it (though it's usually 6).

Abilities:

Mukuro is an illusionist, meaning he can conjure illusions at will with the power of his eye. The law behind an illusion being "once you give into an illusion, you give up your perception to the illusionist", the rule seems to go doubly however if you manage to counter one illusion with another, making it very hard to break out of. Mukuro's right eye is the source of most of his skills, which are basic around the different paths of reincarnation in the Buddhist religion. The path number correlated to the kanji numeral his eye displays. They go as follows

: 1rst path: Path of Hell- Mukuro utilizes his power of illusions. Some of his illusions are so strong they actually become physically tangible, like Chrome's organs.

2nd path: Path of hungry ghosts- Mukuro becomes able to use abilities of those he possess in the 6th path.

3rd path: Path of beats- summons animals, obviously he doesn't summon fluffy rabbits, not this path is usually reserved to poisonous snakes and wild dogs. Used to confuse opponents as to what's illusion and what's not.

4rth path: path of asura- Mukuro becomes enhances in physical combat. He fights with his trademark trident (which may or may not aide in illusions, it's unclear) Mukuro's eye becomes lit in flame as well.

5th path: Path of humans- Over-all enhancement, is surrounded by black dying will flame. In order to use this path he must first dig his fingers into his eye, skewering it. He also claims this is the most dangerous path, as well as the one he like the least.

6th path: Path of heavens- allows possession/mind control. Without the aide of possession bullets, the mind control can be broken if the mind controlled is emotionally reached. This is usually done by some sort of verbal statement. Mind control can also be fought, he cannot force someone to tell him information for example, also he does not feel the pain of the possessed, so he is able to utilize the body until it is either physically broken or dead. This is usually the default state of his eye, as he has to use it to keep in contact with Chrome. (elaborated later)

Mukuro is also owns something called "possession bullets". With these, if he shoots himself in the head with one, he is able to not only posses someone to the point where it is impossible to break free, but he can also posses multiple bodies at once. The only down side is... since he WAS shot in the head, that his body is laying on the floor and making skull juice... not lethally, but still, he's a sitting duck. In order to posses a body however, he must first cut them with the trident. It is assumed after he does that he can take over the body at will at any given time.

Personality:

Mukuro is a very shifty fellow, you can never quite tell what side he's on. You often see him with Chikusa, Ken, and Chrome, he even goes as far as calling them 'friends' in an outside novel from the series. When escaping from the Vendicare prison (for the second time) he uses himself as a distraction so that they may escape. However, on the contrary, should they threaten his existence, he will slaughter them without so much as batting an eyelash.

He deals with the Vongola similarly. He makes many claims of hating the Vongola family, he makes a deal with them. In exchange for the protection of Chikusa and Ken, he agrees to becoming the 10th Vongola's mist guardian. However he RARELY helps directly (in part because...y'know he's kind of stuck in a giant pickle jar in a prison basement), and in those rare cases it is because Chrome (again more on her later). Usually his form of help is sending maps to enemy basis, or doing recon, never personally associating or communicating with the Vongola.

Mukuro is very also very apathetic and goal-oriented. He doesn't care about the suffering of others, they are pawns to be used and when their usefulness is done in advancing his goals they are discarded. His ideal being to bring upon a world war III-like scenario, bring the world into darkness so that it may be cleansed. Despite such a 'doom and gloom' ideal, and subsequent view of the world, a smile never seems to leave his face. He acts coy and almost pleasant, but it always just seems to reek of something not right (He was ranked as the 4rth creepiest mafioso by Fuuta's astrological ranking talent). The only time he seems to get outright angry is when he is in the path of humans, as such he seems to hate people, and taking this state just adds to his irritation.

For the most part around people he will appear pleasant and well mannered but there will be that aura of "there's something wrong with this guy" but no evidence to prove the gut feeling is right. However with people of a certain intellect he might playfully challenge them in little quips of wit. Throw a little backhanded insult here, a passive aggressive comment there, all without breaking his trademark smile. Should he find them threatening he may begin to pull a few mindgames here and there, or should he see a purpose for them, he'll form an "alliance" (read: plaything) with the person. He's got a bit of a superiority complex, and he's rather vain, so playing these games like this HARDLY weighs on his conscience.

On the more child-friendly sense, despite his outlook on people and his 'friends' his interactions with those he considers his underlings can be rather comical. Especially with the loud, rambunctious, slightly dim-witted Ken. While Mukuro often puts up with Ken, there are times when he obviously grates on his nerves and is subsequently punished. As such when he asks Mukuro if his hair is "pineapple inspired" and tries to play it off as if someone else asked the question. In response Mukuro begins disillusioning pineapples into existence and pegs them at Ken as punishment. There's also the matter of Mukuro's coat... Mukuro has it hung up in his room with the orders that no one is to touch it, however he is fully aware that Ken has tried it on... it's never gone into detail what his actions were but the fact that he knew was creepy enough.

Strengths:

He's a brilliant tactician, if he's fought a person once and lost, with the information he has gathered, he will have a way to either win, or see that his goals are met a second time. He's also very strong and knows his abilities inside and out. Also his abilities being very indirect allow him to take on opponents that may be quite a bit physically stronger then himself.

Weaknesses:

Mukuro's abilities take a lot out of him, after a serious fight it takes him a number of days or even weeks to fully recover. He's also arrogant, prone to underestimating an opponent, which while he has a right to be cocky, it can come and bite him in the ass.

History:

Mukuro was born into the Estraneo Family in Italy, this family had developed a special bullet called the "possession bullet". However this bullet was the families downfall, it was marked as forbidden and the family lost all their status in the Mafia. Having lost said status they become bullied and hunted by other mafias. In desperation they began to try and develop weapons to not only protect themselves but also regain their status in the mafia. So they turned to their children for experiments. This is how Mukuro acquired his right eye, and possibly why he claims he has been through the six paths of reincarnation. These events are also how he met Ken and Chikusa. As a child, Mukuro eventually just SNAPPED from all the experimentation and slaughtered the Estraneo family, then offering Ken and Chikusa to to join him as he cleanses the world.

Mukuro's first target in his attempt at cleansing the world is obviously the Mafia. After he escaped he becomes adopted into anther mafia family, however not long after he does so he begins mind controlling one of the members named Lanchia. Most likely begins to figure out and use his powers. Eventually he made Lanchia slaughter the entire family and eventually used him as a 'double' making him take the name Rokudo Mukuro as well. Eventually the gang are imprisoned, however that doesn't last long. Mukuro devises some plan for them all to escape, and like most of his plans it is successful. Mukuro then decides to mark his his next target in his world cleansing scheme is the Tenth Vongola heir, Sawada Tsunayoshi. To locate him, Mukuro kidnaps Fuuta, planing on using his skills in ranking to locate Tsuna. However, Fuuta refuses to directly divulge the information even under mind control. Unable to get information about Tsuna directly, he gets his schools ranking of the strongest fighters, and one by one orders Ken and Chikusa to take them out. Again his plot is successful and Tsuna and his friends come out to face Mukuro. After wearing them down with Mukuro's pawns and lackeys. It eventually becomes a one-on-one fight with Tsuna. Mukuro is forced to pull out all his tricks, but is eventual beaten and hauled off to Vendicare...again.

Hide nor hair of him is seen again until the middle of the following arc, the Varia arc. It seems that Mukuro had planned yet ANOTHER escape, however this one does not go ENTIRELY according to plan. Under the guise of 'splitting up will make us harder to find' Mukuro uses himself as a distraction so that Ken and Chikusa can escape. Afterward it is revealed that Vendicare was totally tired of his bullshit then put him into a much higher security prison cell ... which was essentially Mukuro being chained up in a big jar. During this time in prison he somehow is able to make a mental connection to a girl named Nagi, who was in the hospital after losing and eye and several organs from a car accident. He makes a pact with the girl, and uses his illusions to replace her lost organs, in exchange she becomes his link out of Vendicare and part of him is possessing her at all times. Her name is changed to Chrome Dokuro, and she becomes another member of Mukuro's gang, and Mukuro is very possessive over her. One of the few things to make him angry being to mess with Chrome... which happens during one of the ring battles of the Varia arc.In Chrome's fight against Mammon, Chrome's illusions are countered by Mammon's and she loses the upkeep of her organs. And hence Mukuro appears, somehow able to take over chromes body, yet still keep his physical form. He makes quick work of Mammon, and then stating the fight has exhausted him disappears, leaving Chrome passed out on the ground, her organs once more restored.

First Person Sample:

[There's the sound of something heavy and wet landing on the floor with a loud 'shlop' sound. It's dark at first, but then there's some shifting and the blackberry falls onto the floor, the camera picking up a wet figure on the ground. The figure is bound up in chains, stuck with wires and tubes and other fastenings. There's a tube over his right eye and his left eye is taped shut. The bottom of his face is covered by a mask with various tubes sticking out of it. Possibly for breathing and feeding underwater? His wrists, ankles, and neck are bound in manacles. Clearly someone didn't want this person to get out, however it's unclear whether he's a prisoner or perhaps an experiment. He appears to look like a regular young boy in every other respect...

The figure on the ground suddenly spazzes and jerks without any sort of warning. It's unclear as to if he's awake or his body is simply in shock from the obvious sudden change in environment. The body goes still immediately afterward. Then, a muffled noise emits from the figure. His chest rises and falls in sudden jerky movements... that can either be attributed to laughter or crying...

Regardless, it doesn't appear as though he will be able to free himself on his own...]

Third Person Sample:

Mukuro sat casually on the edge of the bed listening to the stranger explain his current predicament at "the manor" as he called it. The place seemed... interesting. Not exactly where he wanted to be, but it could serve to rescue him from the doldrum life of the Vendicare prison. His main source of displeasure due to the lack of Chrome's presence. He may not need her as a link to the outside world as long as he was here, but she was far from outliving her usefulness to him. when the man finished his explanation, Mukuro let out his trademark 'Kufufufu' and rose up from the bed, still dripping wet in his plain white prison clothes. It was time to stretch him legs now, it had been quite a while since he had been able to be out and about...

"I thank you for your information. Since it seems I will be here for a while, I had best make myself at home."

Mukuro walked to the dresser and placed his hand on top, implying he was going to change. The man responds in kind and turns to leave, however he pauses when he notices the door has completely vanished. Mukuro's smile widens just a bit, a hardly noticeable gesture, but there nonetheless.

"Kufufufu, is there something wrong?"

The man turns back to Mukuro, who is inexplicably clothed and dry, looking rather confused, and suddenly a bit fearful. In the blink of an eye Mukuro is in front of him, the head of his trident embedded in the other man's gut. Mukuro steps back and watches as the man stumbled, hands over the injury, choking and trembling.

"You're looking rather pale, my friend. Perhaps you should lay down?"

The man looked down to see the blood on his hands, but his eyes grew wide. There was none to be seen... but he could have sworn! He looks back up at Mukuro again in shock. The boy was once again clothed in the generic white garb from Vendicare. Mukuro walks up to the man and puts a comforting hand on his shoulder, guiding him to the door, which was right where it was before, his brows knit together in a look that appeared to be genuine concern... even if the smile never left his lips. The man nodded and slowly made his way out of the room, saying his goodbyes and running through everything he had done earlier that could have caused such an episode. Meanwhile Mukuro stood in the doorway, watching and laughing his trademark laugh... still inexplicably dry....

Notes: As previously stated, Mukuro doesn't like to associate with the Vongola, usually using Chrome as his messenger. So he will not approach Gokudera, even as a tool Gokudera has already served his purpose. And Dera wouldn't go near Mukuro again for all the money in the world...

Bonus:Well, I have an angsty ass-holey teenager, a crazy angry god-powered dragon, a deadpan emo, an adorable small SPACE! child, and a funny old troll- I was missing psychotic genius. Silly me..
