Earth Hour was yesterday. San Francisco was one of the cities to officially participate in the event. Just one more reason why I'm proud to say I'm from SF.

I should be going to sleep now, but I just wanted to say how awesome my weekend was. Thursday night, went to pick up my sisters from the airport and had dinner at Chipotle's with Paige. Friday, went to Disneyland and spent the entire day (and more!) there. Midday, received a phone call about a surprise visit. Finding Nemo ride is pretty nifty. ( Read more... )

Today I decided to take a quick visit to my backyard (aka the arboretum) to take some photos of all the Spring flowers that have begun to bloom...I ended up staying over 1 1/2 hours. I've always wondered where camp got the word "oobleck" from...

I was looking for a book to read aloud to my second graders from last semester who I visited today. It was Dr. Seuss's birthday aka Read Aloud Day so I was looking for an uncommon Dr. Seuss book. On Friday, five minutes before the bell rang, my master teacher asked if I wanted to lead Language Lab so of course I had to say "yes." Then in the remaining four minutes before the students came in, I did some mad scrummaging (physically and mentally) to throw together a mini-lesson on verbs.
