Reading Derek/Addison fic has been difficult for quite some time now. Reading and liking Derek/Addison fic has been near impossible. The moment Derek turns "good" in fic I inevitably feel as though he's gone out-of-character. I love the pairing in theory, so this state of things annoys me to no end. (Grr Shonda. And PD, for that matter.)

This story is the first to work for me at all in, oh, forever. Derek smiling? Kind of got me. Addison-and-Derek as partners-in-crime, acting like they have a history together? Won me over completely.

The pacing/build-up of suspense in the last scene was very well-done. I am enjoying this-thanks for sharing. I look forward to more.

Totally agree on GRRR Shonda AND PD. I'm mad at PD coz he didn't even hide the fact that he's pro MerDer... he should have atleast pretended he/Derek was really torn between the two.

Thank you so much for everything you've said. I always make it a point that they stay in character. Sometimes it's really hard to do and I fear the moment I fail. :(
