SEE THIS MOVIE!

For anyone who loves movies, took my advice on Equilibrium, and especially if you have kids, you must watch this film. If you're tired of Disney movies that solicit sentiment and begs for tears, this is the movie for you.

Considering where I live I'm sure I'll have to wait for the dvd.

Some times small towns really suck.

Things like this are why living in metropolitan areas, even the burbs, are so great.

Unlike Equilibrium, this movie doesn't really need to be seen in a theater. Other than a handful of underwater shots, always better on the big screen, very little of this film will fail to translate to a TV screen.

Between this movie and Bend It Like Beckham, which I haven't seen and impatiently await the dvd, Hollywood should really learn what pre-adolescent girls should be seeing, not fantasy dreck like Lizzy Mguire and What a Girl Wants. It is possible to achieve a positive effect on girls without talking down to them, I swear.

Yes, but if I lived in a metropolitan area I would probably be forced to live in a box.

Both of those movies you mentioned made me cringe when I saw the commericials. So not want I want my daughter watching, and trying to emulate.

Never discount box-livin', just avoid box lunchin'.

I really have no idea what that's supposed to mean.

These movies are the polar opposite in every way of those Disney-fied, Olsen twin, ignorant farces. I feel those movies are the equivalent of showing girls Gidget as a positive image.

Yo Norm!

Haven't heard much from you for a while. Hope all's well.

One of my other Friends, sbisson, posted a newspaper article he wrote which is about half to do with forms. Given that you are the man when it comes to this subject, I thought you might like to see it. The second half is particularly forms-y and may be all about what you're up to in the future.

Thanks for the interest. I am taking a break from LJ for a while. No length yet determined.

Will be checking on that form article shortly, especially as neglecting my work is a bit of the reason for the sabbatical.

I am fine I just need to take some time to reevaluate some things. I may come back and I may not. I probably will just not for a while.

Thank you so much for caring.
