"Darien, CT... you're very big in the malls out there!" I've been to those malls. And check LL still rocking TROOP kicks... I could date this video by his feet.

I have to confess further, this is on my Xmas mix--"jingling" doesn't sound right when Santa isn't around.

Totally true on the Christmas tip, but this sing always makes me think of summer. That and "Around the Way Girl" which is much more summery of a song/ video.

I must confess, I first noticed LL at "Doin' It" and it took me a long time to realize that he had this whole history before that.

It takes a strong woman to admit she started with "Doin' It." Maybe I'll have a rundown of why LL was awesome in my youth one week...

Idea about the reveal:

Outcasts always want to be appreciated for what they really are (I say this from experience!!!), but it never happens. So it's like a fantasy. So I'm thinking the kid in the video is playing an outcast, so is scared of getting thrown to the wolves, and then suddenly everyone is like 'wow you're amazing!' And what's more amazing than a galaxy? Amiright?

that's what i was thinking. like, everyone has a whole unseen hidden universe inside, metaphorically, that they are scared of showing but wish that people could see. i also totally relate.
