[Joshua's just been dwelling on the same thing, since he showed up at about the same time Vaati did. Still Zetsified, here, but there's a dryness in his tone that's definitely not very Zetsurin-like.]

Happy anniversary. Time flies when you're having fun, hm?

[Of course, Vaati's under the impression that he's talking to Zetsurin though, not Joshua, as he doesn't talk to Zetsurin enough to notice how un-Zetsurin he sounds right now...]

[quiet laugh] Well, one could call the Reaper's games any number of other things, but it would hardly change the fact that we're stuck with them. So perhaps it's best just to, ah... enjoy the moment. In whatever ways we can.

[It's kind of hard to tell with those currently mouse-like eyes of his but Vaati rolls his eyes at this and mutters something that suspiciously sounds like "sounding just like that Joshua human", or something like that...]

...? [he'd almost forgotten that Yuuki was there] Ah, nothing, just...thinking about everything that's happened since I've been here...

[It's kind of depressing, really, to think you've been dead for a whole year. Still, there is a bright spot or two in it all-it wasn't a boring year and there were a few people that kept things nice and interesting, in comparison to if he had ended up in the Dark World back home, in eternal darkness.]

[He makes a noncommittal noise that could be taken as a yes before he frowns, slightly-always the negative thinker, that one.]

I thought I- [there's a slight pause as if he's almost about to change it to "we" rather than "I", but it ends up staying the former] would of been back home by now. But seeing as I'm still here...

[he trails off from there-he's kind of irritated with himself that even after a year he still hasn't gotten his hands on the damn reaper and gotten the answers he wants or gone home by now.]
