Despite being even more baking-heavy, this day was better writing-wise than the previous one. I've actually finished what I hope is the penultimate scene of this chapter - and the story, and I've done it in a way that makes me happy, so that's double win.
Excerpt:
"Lucky woman," Charlie muttered under his breath.
Under different circumstances Anna would have exploded into his face for that half-assed attempt of a joke. Not now, however. Of all people aboard Enterprise she knew perhaps best that Charles Tucker III. would give an arm if he could do such an unpopular, dirty job as cleaning out the intermix regulator. Because he couldn't. Not with an intermittent tremor in his dominant hand, due to the nerve damage he had suffered on that nameless Iconian planet.
I didn't do anything much, we had a MASSIVE storm, worst I can remember, which went on for ages and then knocked the power out for nearly five hours (so we headed into town where there was power and shopped) and then we had to clear up afterwards (bits of trees whatnot all over the garden, plants squashed, pots blown everywhere)
Thanks! I really hope they will keep coming steadily, I want to finish this fic quickly. It's just a short little one-shot, which I could normally write in 1-2 evenings, but I just don't have enough writing time for that.

900 words and I would like to keep going, but it's midnight. I must sleep now. Work will be gross tomorrow.
