Erm... yes. Sorry for the shouting. It happened out of sheer relief. Anyway, the last (somewhat short) chapter and the story is actually finished... more or less. I think the ending isn't bad, albeit perhaps a little open, but considering that this is a series, the next part of which I've already started, that probably isn't a problem.

The captain seemed to realize that his presence in her quarters was no longer required. "See you in the morning," he said and left.
"Good night," she replied, hoping that now he had seen she was reasonably well he'd sleep soundly. The ship needed a properly rested captain, considering that they were on their way to further possible confrontations with the elusive and ruthless Elachi.

I did mostly reviewing some original writing today. The big thing is that I got an email from a UK writing competition I sent a poem to - no I didn't win but I was shortlisted, and the poem will be in their anthology! This is my first shortlist so I am really thrilled and hopefully inpsired to send out more... 😁🥰
Congratulations on the writing competition poem! I'm thrilled for you, too! How awesome to make it to the shortlist and have the poem published in the anthology! \0/
