No actual new words today. It was a very busy, exhausting day, so I decided to give myself a break after having finished "The Dispossessed". However, I've typed up some of what's already written for the third story of the series, "Hunter, Prey" - and decided that it counts, too.
Excerpt:
The helmsman’s smile was wide enough to reach from ear to ear… figuratively speaking. After spending all that time mapping the Arachnid Nebula, finding an actual, interesting planet was a godsend. Everybody had been desperately bored ever since they had parted ways with the Vahklas.
Thank you! I have opened the folder of notes I made years ago for Book 3 and there is a lot. All jumbled up. I will have to switch to planning and organising soon, but I should be able to keep writing first draft for the rest of November aka Writing Month.
Today I have not added any new words to the WIP, but I have posted it on my journal, complete with a title and a rather nice illustration from Pinterest. I might post to my usual 2 archives tonight, or leave it until tomorrow.
Actually I have had quite a productive day -I also finished a needlefelt picture, made cookie dough to freeze, and put an activity list together for Messy Church ☺️
I was inspired to work on a few of my little stories, I may send one or two off for submissions if they are good enough (hunt: at the minute they are not. But I have hope!) I am getting nowhere with an idea for my Secret Santa, but that is not unusual...
Oh, and I wrote a haiku! About sourgrass, because this is me :)
Good luck with the little stories! I hope you will have success when you send them off! And more good luck with the Secret Santa story. Hopefully things will come together soon for that.
