There wasn't much time for writing today. I've written exactly one paragraph; basically a bit of world-building, which is always fun. Let's hope potential readers will see it that way, too.
And so it goes:
Well-honed survival instinct prevented Reed from answering. No-one in their right minds raised the ire of the amazon women of Alpha Centauri IV when they were in protective mode. Fre'eema Age'eman Mardah Yannes might have exchanged the traditional weapons of her people for the science lab, but she was still fiercely protective of her mate. Even if their... association was a temporary one.
Fiddling night, also knitting, also a small amount of writing. 129 words.
At the summit I met up again with the woman with the red socks - she (apparently German) was Munro bagging, but her husband (definitely Irish) had climbed them all before and wasn't bothered about reaching the summits again, and the dog (presumably Scottish) wasn't bothered about reaching them for a first time.
I am grinning - in part because I too have been knitting rather than writing, at least some of the time, and also because I can just picture the three of them from your words :)
Sounds like my crafting and baking. There is so little me-time and so many things I'd like to do, writing included, that I can never squeeze everything into that narrow time slot.
Put up my usual "hi this is me!" introduction post for my course and then went my fortnightlu lunch with my freewriting group and came away with two rough (and very silly! because this is me) scribbles that might be worth working up into polished (and very silly in a good way) ficlets :)

Tried a little bit of editing on zine fic, but I just wasn't in the right mindset for it so I shelved it after a page. Hopefully tomorrow!

129 words are good under the circumstances.
