Well, ladies, another pico session is over, and it seems that it was a good one for many of us. Feel free to share your feelings about it. And see you all in March if you choose to come back. :))
I had a very good pico session - actually finished two stories, although the second one got written earlier and I only finished the typing up. But I well and truly wrote "The Dispossessed" all in this month, and even managed to keep it short, which is a new skill for me. *g* Those who are interested can read it on otherworlds_lib, as it's not yet posted to AO3 (I hope to get a brave soul to beta read it before).
It was a good Pico season, even though this month threw all kinds of curveballs at me. I didn't even have that many writing days during the month. I would have definitely gotten a lot more written if not for all these things lining up against me. But, I went into it with the one must-do goal of writing my Chengxian zine fic and I submitted that tonight - so that makes the month a success for me all the same. Even if the stretch goals of working on my WIPs wasn't possible.
Sorry to hear that RL was so shitty to you. But at least you've managed to finish the most urgent task, so you're right, the month was a success after all.
I already account for December being a total wash every year but November being the same was a nasty surprise. But yeah, I did get the one fic done that needed doing.
This proved to be a rough month for me and I did not achieve my goals of a total of 30 hours of writing and finishing my story. I'm so grateful for Picowrimo because without it I would not have made nearly as much progress. I'm happy with what I accomplished:)
It's amazing how mindful we become of our writing process, thanks to your daily posts. It's a great help! And so great to be with Picowrimo friends again.
