5 Seasons You Should Watch (if you haven't already)
No spoilers - because I want to you watch these and discover them for yourself!
Firefly - the first/only season
Cowboys in space. 'Nough said.
Okay, maybe I'll say a little more. This show is chock full of likable characters, funny moments, and gaping gray areas. It's quite unlike any other world imagined on screen, and it's a wonderful mix of genres.
Freaks and Geeks - the first/only season
Freaks and Geeks is a really sweet look at high-schoolers in the early 80s. It's another show full of likable characters, and unexpectedly funny moments interspersed with genuinely moving ones.
Bonus: The show gives you the opportunity to see a lot of actors before they became well known. You will never look at Dr. Sweets on Bones the same way after you see him as an awkward kid here. Also featured are Seth Rogan and Jason Segel before they were big movie stars, and a hysterically awesome James Franco.
Queer as Folk - season 1
This one is probably going to seem like the odd one out in this picspam, and it's definitely patchier than the others. However, it is totally worth watching for the Brian/Justin plotline.
A word of warning: this show is not for the faint of heart about male/male sexuality.
Veronica Mars - season 1
A high school P.I. with a sassy attitude. Lots of love 'em, hate 'em, and love/hate 'em characters. Plus, nothing beats Kristen Bell when she does funny voices. Just plumb awesome.
Wonderfalls - the first/only season
I talk this show up a lot, and it seems to be one that people have either never heard of, or they love and are already in the same boat as me.
This one is really quirky, but there's so much to love about it if you can get past that. You will fall in love with practically every main character. There's a lot of quotable lines. Plus, watching it automatically makes you cool. I swear.
