Amy Pond.
What are stars, but tiny suns?
She whispers to herself forgotten things. Small things, tiny things, some hardly worth remembering.
Because she has to. Because if she doesn't, no one will.
She memorizes patterns. And shapes, and feelings and words, because the day may come when they become important; the most important things in the universe. And she will be the one to put them all together.
Amy Pond remembers the figures of the stars in the sky. Because one day, she may be the only one who can.
&
Rory Williams.
To dream while you're awake.
He's never been extraordinary.
He's a face in the crowd. A fleck of dust in a sandstorm. A hidden message you couldn't find unless you were looking.
No one looks.
Most people struggle to be noticed. They reinvent themselves to stand out, trying as hard as they can to seek adventure.
He doesn't have to struggle. He doesn't have to change. He doesn't try.
Adventure found him while he slept.
&
The Doctor.
Youth is aging. Backwards.
The older he gets, the younger he feels. He has time and space in his hands, and he runs with it.
He picks up everything he finds. He carries them with him like a compulsion, collecting memories and faces and names and catalogs them all in his ungrateful, awkward head and every single one ages him.
But he was so very old to start with, and the only thing he can do is get younger.
So he collects more and more, and cursed as he is he must carry them all until he ages so young he is reborn, only to collect more.
x-posted a lot. ilu all.
