These are so cute! Maybe it's because he's so shiny and bizarrely bright that they remind me of advertisements you'd find in a magazine. XD I seriously LOVE them, especially the first one. The blurry background in the 2nd photo is really perfect, too.
What made you think to bring him out in the wild? And is he French? XDD Do you plan on making this a sort of mini-series? I'm definitely all for it. :D Great job, Gerri! This was a blast to look at and certainly going to be one of my favorite "photoshoots" by you yet.

I decided to bring him out because he was such a bright color and I thought he would look nice contrasted against the green grass - plus the gardener just came and cut our grass that day too! :) Haha, I don't know if he's French or not. I just felt like writing French (it means: I smile when I think of my childhood memories). I wasn't planning on making this a mini-series, but do you have any suggestions of where Hippo should go next? If I can, I'll try to take some new pictures of him :) Thanks again for your comment; I'm glad you enjoyed this post!
