A little treat
Yesterday my uncle comes waddling back to my grandparents' house carrying a load of mangoes that came from a neighbor's tree. Probably the one thing I miss about living in Florida is the lanai (for the uninitiated, a lanai is just a screened porch, with or without a door). When I had one I used to love sitting out with my leafy plants and a bowl of cereal and just enjoy the breeze and the fountain, and the ducks or the blue heron that would come by to say hello ( Read more... ) -

Quiet Florida morning
It's 6:45 on a Saturday and I've been awake for a good half hour at least. I'm 27 weeks today, the same point in pregnancy that some lady in upstate New York was when she gave birth to her twins the other day at my mother-in-law's hospital ( Read more... ) -

Greetings from lovely Jekyll Island. My sunburned and swollen feet are hoisted on top of a stack of pillows, Robbie's enjoying a bath, and we're both so relaxed. We spent the day walking along Driftwood Beach, with me stupidly without a camera. Just had to share an image-- the doc's office has an upgraded ultrasound machine that now takes 4D scans/3D images. I do like a sonographer with a sense of humor. ;)

Done, and done.
Whew.
The entire art show is set up, and tomorrow begins two very long festival days. If I can make it to Friday I'll be golden, and next week will be a complete breeze.
Time to crash.
