Dear Yuletide Santa

Dear Yuletide Santa,

Thank you so much for doing this! You're a rock star. I hope you have a lot of fun writing one of my requests!

For the most part, I don't have much to say for specifics for each request outside of what's in my sign-up, but so you get a better idea of me, here's some general things about me and my fic tastes...

I LOVE AUs. Love them. I love taking a story and twisting it around so it is still completely (or more so) believable for the same characters going through a different set of circumstances. You'll notice that's what two of my sign-ups are for, and if you want to do an AU for Boy Meets World or Always Sunny, feel free. I'm for it.

Secondly, I adore crossovers. If you do as well or an idea pops into your head, I will not object if you insert another fandom into the story. Honestly, I don't know what the rules are on this, but if it's allowed and you feel so inclined, go for it. You can tell the things I like from my info/comm list/interest lists, and I've also included the fandoms from my first round of narrowing down what I wanted to pick to request and to write. The list is at the bottom.

The other thing I like is torturing characters. Not literally torturing characters, but putting them through something horrible. If you choose to do that, just make sure you keep with the tone of whatever the source material is as best as possible. After all, Boy Meets World would never be a complete downer. They did manage to squeeze jokes into the sad moments. If you go with You've Got Mail and put them through something bad, make sure it still comes out with a happy ending because that's what rom-coms should do. :)

As far as the individual stories go, I pretty much described what I wanted. If you can't write the scenarios I requested, just anything with the characters. For Boy Meets World, you could really go with any of the main characters (Cory, Shawn, Topanga, Angela, Eric, Rachel, Jack) and do just about anything that keeps with the spirit of the show, and I'd be happy. I'd prefer to see what's going on in their lives in the future.

An important thing: I don't want non-canon relationships. This does not mean that you couldn't have a couple together that never got together on the show/movie, but it would have to be something that would realistically stem from the source material. I have no issues with slash. I'd prefer to be safe rather than sorry with my Yuletide, so sticking to canon or canon-compliant relationships would be preferred. Gen is absolutely fine with me as well. That's what I read the most often, anyway!

Thanks, Yuletide Santa! Despite all this stuff I said, I'm not really that picky. Just trying to throw ideas out for you. :)

Love,

Sarah
