Well, since I received such great replies and since the library cut me short last night, I have decided to add to my "what I have learned thus far while in the USA" list.

Okay, here goes:

- New Jersians apparently don't eat Hawaiian pizza -- it isn't even on the menus!
  - Americans really do honk at you ALL THE TIME (causes MUCH stress to my nerves ( Read more... )

The University of Waterloo runs on Tim Hortons. We have FOUR Timmies on campus, one of which is open 24 hours. When they haven't decided to be asses and reduce their hours. :P

And I had a snow day last February, it rained. :P So someone decided it was too dangerous to open the campus that day. I played football in the snow and got rather wet.

Chet's are fun letters to pronounce. I think my favourite hebrew letter is tzadi (צ). And I still don't know the difference between alephs and ayins. And I have a card for you when you come home that I never got a chance to send. But I think you knew that.

I always felt gypped whenever I heard about snow days. Of all the people out there, you'd think that WE would be the ones to get them, but NoOoOo, I've never had a snow day in my life! But I do get rain days now and then when I don't have to go shingling, so thats alright...

Oh, American memory I have. I believe I was in a restaurant or something and I said something like this to the waitress: "Hi, I'd like a pop, err... I mean drink... umm... soda? Whatever they're called." And she replied "Ok, honey."
Honey? What kind of people call me honey?! It was so weird.

So anyway, have fun down there.

Let's not think about what kind of people would call you honey.

Shelley: "I mean, maybe if you were covered in honey."
Ricki: "I am not even going to touch THAT one."
Shelley: "But then they'd probably call you something like gooey freak."
Ricki: "Never mind. New subject. End comment."

LOL. Yes, Americans are special. I once had a guy at Blockbuster call me "sweetie" about five times. I was ready to jump over the counter and knock him out!. . .Ahem, anyways, can't wait to get the card. . .oh, and thanks for adding intellect to my "ch" phlegm point. (See, Ricki, I have learned my lesson!)

No no, glass is NOT porous.

I STILL have to see Highschool Musical.

In Fort Mac you can't say "ouch burn" either, it's either "ouch" or "burn." And lately it's "served," but that might just be Steven.

You misspelled phlegm, but I'll forgive you. xD You'll know better for next time, won't you?

Ummm, well, in the Kosher world it is. . .I think. . .Megan???
Thanks for the "ouch burn" comment. . .except that it was you that pointed this out to us and generated said point (it was directed at you since I figured you would remember our conversation about this topic)!!!
Thanks for the forgiveness -- I don't think I could have continued living if I knew you hadn't forgiven me for my spelling error. Oh, and I don't think spell check caught it, either, so there!!!

I thought the ouch burn thing sounded familiar, but I thought what the heck, I'll say it just in case. And you figured I would REMEMBER SOMETHING? That was your problem right there. xD Obviously I've filled the space for that memory with knowledge of how to spell.

... OUCH BURN! xD
