Plastic arms

This week I got to practice stabbing needles into plastic arms. And I really do mean "stab." There is nothing slow or gentle about giving subcutaneous (subQ) injections. It's all about doing it quickly with the flick of the wrist. I don't think I've gotten the flick of the wrist thing down yet, but I will have a lot of opportunities to practice ( Read more... )

Ah, I see what you mean about the scuffles being for you and not for me to practice on not being implicit. Maybe you should take that grammar course. . . :P just jokes! (What would Ricki do with herself if you were as grammar savvy as she is? We couldn't do that do her).

Last time I tried to get a needle, they rejected my European blood and all I got was donuts.

Well, the factor was that I had spent more than 5 years in Europe during the last 20 years. But in ten days, I'll be 21. Then it will be long enough. So sure, we can have a blood party!
