I redid Ned's icons (Some are them are very Dick Van Dyke... I'm pleased!!) which means that threads are mostly borked. I tried to keep keywords, but like I know there's at least one make out icon in the thread with Robert so JUST YOUR FAIR WARNING.

Oh, I was thinking Mary Tyler Moore, but that's good, too.

Hey now I think of three things when I think of Dick van Dyke.

The first is Mary Poppins. The second is omfg DICK van DYKE. And the third is Diagnosis Murder.

Yes, in fact, you do. All out on dvd! 22 episodes over two seasons. HOW CONVENIENT.

But I have a teensy confession which is that a lot of this really fabulous technicolor quality was discovered in my retouching and fixing the screencaps. So while it is a very, very opulent show (think Amélie or City of Lost Children but for television, and mixed with a bit of Looney Tunes, at that), it is not period in any way.

OH EXCEPT THE GIRLS ARE ASSIGNED A PERIOD. Chuck is visually early sixties, Olive is visually late sixties, Lily is mid-fifties (or forties?) and Vivian is mid-Thirties. The boys don't have a time period, but they have their own costume quirks.

UM. I REALLY LOVE THIS SHOW.
