I have officially fallen in love with Matt Nathanson
So I went up to Juniata on the train Friday afternoon and met up with Corryn and a bunch of her friends for dinner and ice cream before we headed to the amazing-ness of the concert. Allow me to explain. Matt Nathanson and the band State Radio played at Juniata and tickets were only 20 dollars. I love being a college student. It's brilliant. So I went up there and we met up with Anne and Morgan came down from Ithaca and we all went off to the concert and after two hours of nearly being crushed because these drunk/high guys who created a mosh pit during the opening cover band (Made up of Juniata Students) and State Radio. State Radio was brilliant but oh sweet lord we seriously, nearly died because how of upbeat the songs were. We were seriously ready to just screw it and leave but we were mainly there for Matt Nathanson and thank god we stayed because the moshing stopped and we got up way close, (no pictures unfortunately because I'm stupid and left my camera at home by accident), we were 6 inches from the front and he came out and played totally acoustic. Just him and his guitar(s). So fantastic. Matt Nathanson is brilliant live. He's really sweet and funny and just loads of fun. He had to deal with drunken college students. One guy was shouting to see his penis (seriously it was so ridiculous) and he merely responded "I promise: I'll show you my penis later dude." Another guy was shouting for him to come party with him and this chick was declaring her love for him OVER AND OVER AGAIN. He was lovely and so funny. If you ever get the chance to see him in concert go because he's worth every penny. He made a near-death by moshing worth it. Afterwards I spent the night on an air mattress in Corryn and Liz's dorm room. We could barely move, our feet were seriously swollen from standing for so long. It was rough. The next morning Morgan and I drove home and chated the whole way about music and musicals and about how I want to to go to NYC sometime soon. I'm desperate for it. I love NYC so much. Ah well. All in good time. I've been asleep for most of today so I need to shower and get to bed properly. I'm off!
