So I stayed up last night, way past normal bedtime, because I was taken by the overpowering urge to vid Capital Scandal. You know how it is, vidders - perfect song, perfect clips - and you just have to stay up and finish it, before releasing it to the world.

AND REALLY CAPTURES THE SEMIOTIC RICHNESS OF THE SERIES. I THINK THE MUSIC NEATLY SIGNIFIES THE CHARACTERS' STRUGGLE FOR INDEPENDENCE FROM JAPANESE IMPERIALISM AND THEIR OWN EMOTIONAL TRAUMA.

I was really trying to find the best way to sum up their inner struggles - to highlight those problems that were uniquely their own, and I hope I achieved that. Even if just a little. If the song choice was slightly anachronistic, I apologise - but I think it's so fitting when you pair it with the images.

I feel like you've captured the disconnect between their lives and the parts they play so perfectly. You even bridged the fourth wall, in a way - I mean, this vid, I feel like it's relevant to my own life. It's just - amazing.
