So this semester is difficult, no doubt, although I feel like it's going to be worth it...I got a shit load of books for my theory classes and also for film score research - only two of the books I got (Strauss & Levine) were assigned; the rest I got on recommendation or from my own research...The books I got include

I won't do that, at least not right now...ProTools is too much of a industry standard for me to just push aside - plus it's much easier for me to do soundtrack work on ProTools...On the other hand, there are things that Logic and Cubase can provide that ProTools can't - so I would eventually use both apps in conjunction with ProTools, just for more variety and production options...
I'm actually considering getting Abelton Live, just I can start doing my looping stuff just on my computer instead via analog...But that'll be *after* this semester...

When you speak of "upgrade", do you mean ditching ProTools and using Logic instead?
