MAY AN EXPLANATION
(1)
On September 24, 2006,
Sonámbulo was written. By September 29th, Niche had hatched an utterly heartbreaking and far too fascinating Chernobyl Theorem, and, thus, this was born. Nearly three months, many dozens of frenzied and often times hilarious emails, too many hours spent staring at the beauty of Andriy Shevchenko in a suit, and two (2) losses of sanity later, it's done.
Andriy Mykolayovych Shevchenko and Ricardo Izecson dos Santos Leite, more commonly known as Sheva and Kaká; the past and present, the early morning conversations and champagne amid the grass, nuclear accidents and victories and seaside breezes; above all, a man and why he leaves.
In terms of logistics, I wrote the odd numbered months (May, July, etc.), while Niche wrote the even numbered months and took all the lovely photos seen accompanying each portion of the story. One month will be posted each day, starting on December 12th. Finally, a big thank you to Niche, who is the reason for this project's existence. Oh, what can I even say. It's been wonderful scheming & working with you, and it is wonderful to know you. :-*
Working on this has been terribly exciting, and we do hope you enjoy it.

When I declared that I would never write a story involving Kaka and Sheva, I was wrong to certain delimited extremes. And that is all I can say. (It is a little like watching the Titanic sink as one longs, still, to jump on board.) Much love to Susan and to you; all I wish for you is to feel as we did - masochistic angst translating into an eventual sort of happiness.
