Good god! The grandfather had abdominal surgery yesterday and they didn't think he'd wake up, the other grandmother was hemorrhaging after seeing the dentist today and didn't tell anyone but put some ice on it, the senile friends of the family needed the deed to their property, and Gagi, the local patriarch storms around and all the womenfolk say no, no, no don't confront him, placate him, and my friend, defiant to the last, simply cannot. It's been absolutely hellish. May next week be better. Otherwise, otherwise.
