It wasn't just the radio DJ, everyone in Seattle was pretty much weeping for joy over the weather. It was the first weekend that had been both sunny and warm, which is an extraordinarily beautiful thing after the chilly and damp winter. Plus, the area just looks SO GOOD in the sunshine. It's hard to not get excited about it.
Oh, I was excited about it too! It was gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous all weekend. It was just funny HOW excited everyone was. It was basically the first thing anyone mentioned!
You should go whale watching in Newfoundland some time. We saw whales there when we were, like, getting the newspaper. The actual whale watching trip we went on was one big whale-a-palooza. (No orcas, though.)
I'm glad you had a good time! Now you are home and we can hang out!
Oh, pardon me. I didn't realise you were such a whale connoisseur.
Dude, I'm totally here! I've been here for two weeks! I am sitting in my bedroom in the Berkeley Hills writing this! I actually have no idea whereabouts you're living but I am here so let's hang out! I have visitors many weekends but I am otherwise pretty flexible. What's your schedule like?
Oh wow, cool, not far from us at all! My schedule is flexible and strange.... maybe lunch next week or something? Email me! Piegirl@gmail.com. Can't wait to see you!!
The thing about the Space Needle is that it is sort of north of the main things downtown, so it does form sort of a distinctive landmark. Last time I was up that way, I went to the Experience Music Project (not as good as the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland) and the Science Fiction Museum (which I liked more than I expected to). I'm going to Seattle again in July and am planning to go to the Glass Museum in Takoma this time.
Yeah, it doesn't look so tiny when you're next to it, but it's... a lot shorter than I was led to believe!
We're going to Cleveland this summer so hopefully will hit the Hall of Fame. I was sorry to miss the Underground Tour and Glass Museum but I wanted to see whales! Ah well. Next time.
Also, see how quickly I wrote this? IT CAN BE DONE! Hee.
Mmm I love that diner too. I went there first when I was 16 and Twin Peaks-crazy. It was like my Mecca. Then I took my spouse and kids there a few years ago. Wasn't quite the same as the first time, but still fun.
