OK, I stole this idea from seesmooshrun, but I liked it so much that I wanted to share it with as many people as possible. Instead of making New Year's resolutions, which can be daunting and are usually abandoned by the end of February, you choose a Word of the Year; one word to be your mantra throughout the coming year. What a wonderful idea! I've heard of this before, though alas (the very reason I never do resolutions) I can never decide what word to pick, lol!

This was the first I'd heard of it, but apparently it's become quite popular. It just seems to make a lot more sense then traditional resolutions. Also, I like that it's something you carry with you all year.
