What was the Original Sin?

The one thing I love most about SUPERNATURAL is that it sparks thought and discussion about two of the most important things in this life; faith and family. I think this is an interesting and original take on what the "fruit from the tree" was really imparting to those who sample it. My personal belief, unlike organized religion, allows for this kind of latitude regarding the content of the bible. I don't know what the "Church's" official stand on "Supernatural" is, but just like the lack of tolerance to any opposition to its dogma I'm sure that they wouldn't care for this debate. I on the other hand welcome this well articulated offering. I find it refreshing to find a segment of viewers of this program actually watch for more than the "eye candy" and " vampire slayer" aspects of the series.

Thank you for your kind comments. There are actually quite a few of us out there who watch SPN for more than just the eye candy. I've been a part of many intriguing and intelligent discussions amongst viewers of the Show about God, religion and family. I'm kinda' surprised you haven't run into more of us.
