Ned was never the sort of person to confess to needing someone as much as he did Chuck, and he certainly could go for some time without her by his side. While making and maintaining friends was something that Charlotte Charles enjoyed mightily, she also liked the fact that she had someone to come home to. Several someones in fact, but there was a special something that she had missed the most.

Climbing in under the covers, she snuggled in next to the sleepy Piemaker. "I did," she told him with a smile on her face. "And I missed you."

"So did we," said Ned, though one half of that we was currently padding back over to his comfortable corner of the hut without a look back. "What did you do? Or is there some sort of secret rule that says what happens at girls night stays at girls night?"

"I don't actually know," Chuck confessed. When it came to rules of secret girl games and ideas, she had always been left in the dark. While she loved her aunts dearly they had never been the most girlish of women.

"There was karaoke and drinking and a lot of chatting and eating. It was fun. Like being in high school or something."

Ned's own high school experience didn't add up to anything fun, but he smiled anyway. Chuck had enjoyed her night, and that mattered most. "Did karaoke? Because if you did I'd have to ask for an encore."
