The Cake vs. Pie tournament has concluded; pie won, but it did so under very dubious circumstances, as the ultimate winner was cheesecake.

My mum's cheesecake has sides (and so does the one in the photo on the website)... but even so! A biscuit crumb base does not, I argue, count as pastry, and surely without pastry, cheesecake cannot be a pie.
