Having used british rail for the majority of my travelling life, when in Britian, I can confirm they are evil evil bastards.

That is possibly one of the worst stories I've heard though...

The effort was appreciate even if British rail seems to hate you.

As it always seem to happen to you when you try to leave london via it.

I will sort something out during the week either to come visit you on friday or doing something between the games at the weekend.

It seems you were travelling with the worst cannibal, and does she not live in London? Quite, quite close to you? :P

I find your story most perplexing. If I were you I'd have gone to Reading from Paddington and to hell with the extra cost - the speed (and comparitive luxury of intercity trains) and hence the reduced journey time would have been worth it.

Since I have to use them every day, I've often heard the moniker for South West Trains amongst my local friends of "Seldom Working Trains", in their defence my train does arrive at Waterloo most of the time, and actually most of the time it's within 5 minutes of it's scheduled arrival time. I'm quite sure you don't need me to go into their failings though.
