For all those times you left wonderful comments on my stories and I encouraged you to start writing again, it's good to know I was right: You are fabulous. I enjoyed this so thoroughly and it was so freakin' wonderful to see a new Cake story on my f-list. So, thank you, first and formost for bringing the love back to Cake.

“I’m gonna miss you, man…” Blake whispered softly, a couple decibels only but still audible for Chris’ ears.

“Me too, bro…” Chris knew that this kind of banter was usual for them, they spoke “I love you” to each other, and both knew that it meant brotherly love, nothing more.
*sigh* This started me on this tumbling rollercoaster to falling in love with the innocent Cake again. It was just right because they are friends and that is probably there sweet way of saying "I love you." I think you captured that just right for the mood you were trying to set.

They were inseparable since the first time

I really did love it. But I agree with the others. Please give us more? I'd really like Blake's POV throughout this whole timeframe. And maybe even them speaking after Blake hears the message? That would be awesome. Either way, I loved it! Great job. :-D

I think you are a great writer. If you'd like, I can review it for you before you post it. But I think you did a great job with this one, so I dont see any problems with continuing. There were a few minor mistakes here and there, but nothing that distracted off the story or anything. Just keep it the same format as this one, only make it Blakes POV, IMO. I really hope you do. Let me know if I can help at all?
