Being the artist I am, I feel stupid asking this question, but, ah, what's negative space? :'DD

Negative space is like the area around an object. Basically it's drawing the outlines of an object and only the outlines, no details or any lines where the object is filling space ("positive space").

My teacher said that it teaches you that details in an object aren't as important as you think, because you can still see what the object is wth no details.

...or something 8D types on phone

Hrmm, interesting. We just call ours an outline, though we haven't started that yet. We're doing contour drawing, which is my favoritest art medium EVAR. <33333 Contour drawing is when you draw the outline and the details of the object, but no shading. [/art geek]

..I did a toaster. 8D My teacher actually mentioned it in Art Club today. Apparently it was the best toaster she's ever seen and I'm really good at contour drawing. We drew hand poses too, and she said mine was the best. I feel really bad because Cora's in my class and she's a helluva lot better than I am.

-looks up at giant paragraph- I hope that's not considered bragging. X'D I'm just proud of meself. :3
