Thank you!! I have been quiet recently, I think work took over and I got out of the habit of posting or commenting, and then it's been really hard to get back into the habit. Plus all I really had to post about was 'Did some work. Did some more work. Today I went to the lab' etc! And I don't even have any amusing anecdotes about certain annoying coworkers either!
But now of course revision time is upon me so livejournal=the prefect procrastination tool!
Yay, congratulations sweetie!! That's so awesome that you've got a job that you're looking forward to! And what a bonus to get redundancy pay from your old job!! But you haven't said where the job is or what you'll be doing - I want to know moooooore! xxxx
Thank you! The work is with a big!scary! Accounting and Management Consultancy firm up in London, who actually turned out to be a lot less big and scary than first expected! They aren't one of the 'big four' firms so they're a lot more relaxed and friendly and you actually get to go home at 5.30 and get overtime and such if you work late so I like them a lot :)
Plus they have a *really* shiny new office. The work I expect I'll be doing will be a bit dull, but you spend a lot of time out of the office visiting clients and stuff so there's a lot of variety and all the grads and other interviewees I met at the assessment day were really nice, so I think it sounds like a nice place to work. This is how I've sold myself on it anyway!
How're things with you m'dear? Into the post-springbreak last bit of your time at Berkeley now? Or not thinking about that yet? ;)
Thank you m'dear! When are you coming hoooome? I realize you've barely left the UK, but still! Are you gonna be in the lovely Bromley over the summer or away somewhere doing fabulous things?
Hope Glasgow was/is fun, and Zurich continues to be so! xxxxxx
