I was writing a reply to a comment, but I realized I was saying everything I had meant to say in a post anyway. This is kind of unorthodox but I'm too lazy to make it elegant; I'll just reply here.

Crazy... it was like reading something out of my own mind. I've been having a LOT of the same feelings, for what it's worth.

I'm not pleased about 2010 either. >.< But I never was fond of the holiday.

I don't know what to say about options. To be honest, I don't know that I've truly had more options at a given time in my life than others (since "viable options" have to take into account a number of factors such as emotional ability to handle things). But I have tried to cultivate a perspective of appreciation for what I DO have and a sense of optimism about the future - even though I may think/talk a lot about how bad things COULD be. This is something that CAN'T be shown externally, I guess
