I rather liked the ending to Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. The ending to House of Flying Daggers was ruined only by the really bad looking CGI snow. I'm actually avoiding Memoirs of a Geisha. Even though I haven't read the book, I'm still prett sure they ruined it.

I do love Wuxia movies, though. Too bad I can't ever find any of the classics in English.

What's Wuxia?

Wuxia is a genre of film which is loosely based on Chinese folklore which prominantly features things like wire-fu martial arts, warriors fighting for the common people, and strong, independant female warriors. So it would include CTHD, House of Flying Daggers, Iron Monkey, and Hero to name a few contemporary titles. There are some older movies from the 1960s which are impossible to find.
