Just an FYI

So bascially yesterday was pretty crazy. And when I say pretty crazy I mean really freaking scary. So I woke up and I was feeling kinda crappy and I had this really sharp pain in my side. yeahhh being sick at college pretty much sucks major ass. especially mysterious illnesses that they essentially have very little idea about why it's happening...

what they had you drink was contrast. it's a material that will make your organs show up in the CT since otherwise nothing would show. some people react to that more than others. it doesn't sound like you had an allergy to it. i've heard that sometimes it can make you feel like you're going to piss your pants but you won't.

some doctors thought i had appendicitis on new years day. it was horrible. i ended up skipping out on the CT scan b/c the doc wasn't sure i had it and he said if i did, i'd be in so much pain that i'd be coming back to the ER anyways (the ER was full of drunks & car accidents from the holiday so i didn't want to wait). so after about 6 hours of being in the ER i got to leave.

naw i didn't have the contrast stuff. It was some sort of pain medicine through an iv

you didn't drink anything before you went in? did they give you an IV during the CT for something? i thought i remember that they can't see the appendix unless they use contrast... idk... i could be wrong but i don't think i am.

nope, the results readout said it was without the contrast, I guess they didn't need it? I don't know?
