Unfortunately i missed out on the first band, Envy Parade, who are apparently really great.

Red Distress reminded me a little bit of AFI and i like AFI, but i can't tell if that affected my opinion of them in a good way or not. Either way, they're not a complete rip off of AFI, though the influence is obviously there, especially in the vocals. The singer even had a slight devil-lock going on. They were OK.

King Mungi come from the Gold Coast, Queensland. Several times they reminded the audience that they have a CD and other merchandise available and encouraged people to buy it, as most bands do. They performed their first ever cover (apparently) which turned out to be an old Skid Row song. King Mungi finished their set with a song called "Bozo" which seemed to be one of the better songs they played.

ME VS. YOU are Raj Wakeling (vocals), Chris Smithers (guitar), Ned Jankovic (guitar), Scott Riley (bass) and Giovanni Rettura (Drums). This band seems to have a green theme, each of the members wearing either a green t-shirt or a t-shirt with green on it. This could be due to one of the songs being titled "Michelangelo is a Party Dude" and the band being fans of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (I've long been a big fan myself) with Raj even wearing a purple mask thing during the first song. As that would suggest, he informed us that Donatello is his favourite Ninja Turtle. Me Vs. You make good music, but their sense of humour is even better. Ned went all Dave Grohl on us taking full advantage of his chordless guitar. For the first few songs he was roaming from one side of the stage to another then all of a sudden, later in the set, he walks through the audience and out the front door, all while continually playing. He returned and played less than a metre facing various punters before eventually making his way back to the stage. Very entertaining. A great performance. http://www.msvsyouband.com
