Dallas Crane + The Fumes

Aug 24, 2006 15:32

Tues. 15th August 2006

My friend won a free entry +1 to see Dallas Crane at the Gaelic Theatre, so i became the +1, since i wasn't busy that night.

The Fumes had everyone tapping their feet along to their dynamic songs made up of drums/guitar/vocals. The prominent bass drum seemed to make up for the lack of a bass player and both musicians had enough energy and presence to fill the stage.

After this (and having to wait), Dallas Crane didn't seem as good though their songs and performance was still enjoyable. The demographic of the audience extended a lot older than i would've expected for two fairly young Aussie rock bands, but this is hardly a bad thing. It's good to see the over 25s actually going to gigs and the turn-out considering it was a Tuesday night, was quite impressive.
