Metro Theatre
http://www.metrotheatre.com.au This really was one of the most positive energetic performances i've ever seen from a band.
Motorhead's "Ace of Spades" was even incorporated into the MC5's "Kick Out the Jams". Rok! Actually... more like METAL! \m/
Also, the intro and outro were interesting. A man's voice introducing the band as one would a circus in the mid-20th century. Then at the end, encouraging people to take someone home, make them a hot chocolate and sleep in or something. Would've been nice, but it didn't happen for me.
The full set list:
01 - Intro
02 - Video Killed The Radio Star
03 - Kitty
04 - Tiki God
05 - Highway Forever
06 - Boll Weevil
07 - Some Postman
08 - Naked And Famous
09 - Sock It To Me
10 - Lump
11 - Froggie
12 - Zero Friction
13 - Munky River
14 - Back Porch
15 - Love Everybody
16 - Dune Buggy
17 - Guitar Solo
18 - Mach 5
19 - Peaches
20 - Kick Out The Jams - Shout - Ace of Spades
21 - Encore break
22 - Candy
23 - Lunatic To Love
24 - We're Not Gonna Make It
And at the end of that last song, they changed the lyrics to "looks like we maaade it".
Such an awesome concert. One of the best i've been to.
Here's an interview from 'in the raw' (Channel 31). The clips of the gig shown don't do justice to show how awesome it actually was to be there and how great it sounded.
