The Gaelic Theatre
Fri. 23rd of February 2007
The Paper Scissors were charismatic and enjoyable. They dedicated a song to Snoop Dogg because apparently they were kicked off the Good Vibrations festival at the last minute due to his addition.
http://www.thepaperscissors.com Support: The Cops. I remember seeing t-shirts saying "SUPPORT THE COPS", perhaps even a member of Regurgitator, a few years ago... so it amuses me that the main support for Regurgitator this evening, was ...The Cops! They weren't too bad either.
http://www.thecops.com.au The Gaelic Theatre/club was humid and stuffy to begin with. But this combined with the energetic sounds of Regurgitator resulted in the most sweaty conditions imaginable. But it was flippin' great!
They played three new songs, quite capable of being hits in the near future, amongst a solid set of older songs and those recorded in the Bubble during 2004.
After a very enthusiastic applause and soccer stadium style chanting, the band came back out for an encore of three songs, "I'm Sensible" (which Ben Ely claimed was being performed live for the first time), hyper-powered hip hop / dance track "C'Mon" and the almighty classic, "Kong Foo Sing".
