I heard about this on the radio this morning before I clicked it off for the day. Can you smell it really badly in your office?

yeah what a nightmare. yeah thats where the mayor said. oy.

and you're closer to that area being in union square. i didnt smell it this am - musta happened later in the am. i just hope its ok by the time i go home. or the subway is gonna be nasty and i dont like gas smell... :P (yes it colorless and odorless but as the mayor pointed out, they add that other smell so we can detect gas leaks)...

You may want to consider skipping the subway today anyway. I remember the first Halloween after 9/11, and I had to work in NYC that day. There were lots of rumors going around that "something" (i.e., terrorists) might happen. I spent the money and took a cab to Penn Station, not because I was worried about something actually happening, but I worried about being in a crowd of people in the subway and something thinking something happened.

My 2 bits, here safe in suburbia. (Hubby sent me the story and told me again how glad he is I don't work there anymore.)

yeah they say they actually havent pinpointed the problem yet. the one on bleeker and 6th really wasnt much and it really wasnt the source of the main problem. they are still investigating.

yeah well i'm reevaluating my way home anyway, because the one line i use to go home, was shut down. its reopen now but i'm concerned about using that line now anyway. sigh.

i may not take a cab cuz its expensive to go home. but maybe i'll just use the other subway and then bus combo home. its one way i can do it... we'll see as the day goes... sigh.

course con ed is saying they dont see any major high leakages or anything on their radars so thats why they're still investigating. sigh...

told jedi not to leave the house today...
