more MIL oddities

she is soaking garlic cloves in my laundry room sink, and they are growing sprouts. i am not even kidding. i walked into the laundry room, and HELLOOO, garlic cloves on skewers, sitting over a shallow pan of water, in the sink. just, why?

on the upside, we have only had one fight this visit.
