I had never, in my whole life, seen an episode of Oprah, but of course I dvred the President and Michelle Obama on Monday. I finished watching it last night, and damn, I love Michelle Obama. At the Marriott I stayed at in Macon a few weeks ago, I went to see if there was a hundred dollar bill in the Gideon bible (because that happened to me one time and now I have to check every time), and it had been replaced by a Book of Mormon. I thought it was a fluke. Then I had to stay another night and it had been switched out in an entirely different room.

Now I'm going to have to find the bible in the hotel rooms I stay in so that I can check for the Benjamins. Also, to see if it's a Book of Mormon.

Worst motel I ever stayed in: a Scottish Inn in eastern Tennessee. The curtains were chewed, as by a very large dog. The bathroom door had a hole, the same size and shape as a beer bottle. There were syringes tucked away in places where no diabetic would hide them (such as behind the fire alarm). All that was missing was a dead hooker in the mattress.

Anyway, the bedside table drawer was empty. It would seem even the Gideons were afraid to go there.
