There is no excuse for shoddy work. Are you able to demand the work be redone at the company's expense?
The only thing I hate about moving is waiting on the movers to show. I am attempting to send some scotch to you but it keeps leaking out of the fibre optic line. ;)

When we moved into the Paris house (1860) I had to remove a dozen layers of painting/varnish from every hinge or bolt.
