Ach Gott!

It's being hard for you but a good thing that you were there for him.

Yes, in the end it *is* better to be there, hard though it is.

Oh, I am so sorry to hear of Cornelius' passing. Thinking of you and the other three.

Glad to see things are looking a bit brighter. He will never be forgotten, just remembered with fondness.
I hope you do find a single cat home for Lola. She does appear to be unable or unwilling to get close to the males. As for her treatment of Rambo it may be that she is jealous of his taking the "baby" spot in the family. One never quite knows with cats.
Take care and know that lots of people are thinking of you and your kitties.

Never forgotten, no. But his death doesn't outweigh the many, many good memories of good times.

I hope so, too. I think it's partly because she can't cope with males, but also because she just has zero social intelligence -- IMO, this might be the reason they kicked her out of her group when she was still half-grown: usually those groups consist of females and kittens, and only the boys get kicked out once they become too rambunctious.

*hugs you tightly* You and your kitties have been in my mind and heart frequently. I'm glad the rawest grief has passed and that the kitties seem to be doing OK. Bless you for your kind and loving contingency plan in case Lola isn't able to deal with the dynamic shift, and here's hoping for the best for you and them. *more hugs*

Thank you so much, once again!!!
I'm not yet giving up on Lola -- change takes a long time with cats -- but if nothing changes, it would be much better for her as well to have a place where she can be happy.
