OMG I can post and view the friends page again at work!!! However, since this has already happened once or twice -- i.e. being able to post/read, and then not, because all of a sudden it's 'suspicious' -- I'm not holding my breath

Wonderful to hear from you again. Glad the kitty situation has been resolved. I know what it's like to have battling animals.
Hope you are able to update more regularly again. I miss reading what you are up to. If not have a wonderful, minimally stressful summer.

That really was a pain in the neck -- I kept reading the f-list in the morning, after getting up, but then could neither read nor post nor comment at work, and after staring at the screen for hours at work, I don't really use the computer in the afternoon or evening at home. So let's hope that LJ will continue to be accessible from work.

Slightly sad news about the cats, but if they're all happier, then that's what matters. And your Rambo has grown into such a lovely boy!

I'm pleased for your mum's sake that she may be moving close to you, and hope that your father's presence doesn't prove to be too much of a trial.

Now I'm ok, yes -- not that life was nothing but misery before, but mother and work and cats... I can take one out of these three being out of whack, but not all of them.

It *is* a bit sad that I had to give away Lola, but OTOH: she's still in the same building, has a stress-free life (or will have, once she's completely settled in), Irene has a cat, and chez PW there's finally peace.

My father's going to be a royal pain in the butt, I'm sure, but what's a bit of butt pain compared to making my mother's life better?!

They will all be a lot happier than they used to be. Otherwise I wouldn't have decided to give the Princess of Hell away.

Sounds like everyone will be much happier. I am not crazy about your father being in your building, but for your mother's sake, it's good they'll be moving in. Rambo looks very happy to be Lola-free!

Yes, they surely will. Ze Boyz already are much happier, and Lola is settling in very, very well.

I'm not enthusiastic, either, but I really, really want my mum to have a better life, and that desire pretty much overrides all other misgivings.
