my favorite one, i think, is "eye of the beholder". it's about this woman who's having treatments to look less hideous so she's not banished from this futuristic utopia. but when the doctor takes off the bandages around her head, she's like this gorgeous starlet. then it's revealed that everyone else (doctors, nurses, etc.) is really hideous looking (the facial prosthetics look like leftovers from "planet of the apes")

it's really overt and you can see the end coming from a mile away, but there's a certain joy in that, i guess, and also the camerawork is really cool.

I think i've seen that one too. Man, such a good show. Its what short fiction should be, concise and powerful.

When The Village came out I kept telling people if it were a half hour episode of a Twilight Zone or something it actually couldve been worth a damn.
