“Why? Ryo you know I have a private life, too, right?”
“Please Pi! I really need your help. I don't want to disappoint him.”
“But he is your boyfriend, not mine. You should take care for it on your own!”
“I know you have nothing to do anyway. Since your girlfriend left you last Christmas you never went out if you didn't have to. Just going to university and your part time job but you never went out just for fun. So go and enjoy yourself, search for a nice girl and get me a present for Yuya, please~”
Right. If Yuya wouldn't get a present Ryo would be in trouble. Although Yuya always seemed to be cute and innocent, Pi knew he could act like the devil. And he loves to be spoiled...Yep, Ryo would have to endure either a sulking or a very devilish Yuya, if he wouldn't find a suitable present. And Pi knew Yuya good enough, because they were cousins and grew up together.
“It's Christmas Pi. Find someone so you won't have to be alone on the festival of love...although to get a boyfriend within a week could be difficult...just find someone to get happy with.”
YamaPi sighed. He knew his friend was right. Since the day his girlfriend left him for another guy he was quite down. But he couldn't help it. He really had loved her from the bottom of his heart.
It was December. About three weeks left till Christmas and now his best friend was begging him to buy a present for the other one's boyfriend. He wasn't really in the mood to actually do what Ryo wanted but decided, that maybe he should go to the Christmas market tomorrow. For now he would just spend the rest of the day on his couch and watch some stupid TV shows.
Yamashita Tomohisa, or what his friends call him YamaPi, was a college student. He had a simple family background, his parents and one younger sister, and many nice friends. He was always popular everywhere he went and lived a simple but nearly perfect life. The only thing he missed was his 'soulmate'. He wasn't in love for about a year now and if he would be honest to himself he knew he was afraid. Afraid of falling for someone who would hurt him again.

“Kamenashi-kun. Please help over here.” An old woman called for the guy.
Kame smiled friendly at her before he rushed over to help her carrying the boxes. The snow that was falling from the sky wasn't a help at all, since all boxes were in danger to get soaked before they would be able to put the things on the tables.
Kamenashi Kazuya was a young man who took every part time job he could get. Right now, he worked on a Christmas marked in the middle of their little town, helping out in the market booth of the old lady. It was still early in the morning so there weren't many people walking around, just some school kids who were happy to have weekend and were now busy searching for the right presents for their parents.
In the booth he was working one could get mostly clothes. They were selling handmade scarfs and gloves but you could also get handmade chocolate. Their costumers were almost couples every time.

The Christmas market was full of people. Girls running around searching for the perfect present and a bunch of guys who was joking around. Pi was lazily walking around not really knowing where to go or what to search for. He saw a few booths where you could eat and drink.
Ryo sent him to buy a present for his boyfriend because Ryo was working abroad and had no time to buy one himself. Since there was just one week left till Christmas and Ryo couldn't find any time to go shopping. So, Pi made his way to the market and searched for a present.
He stopped at a nice looking booth. The booth gave away a nice family feeling and it made his heart warm. The calm tension around the booth was attracting young and old and he couldn't help but get closer to it.
“Young man, do you want to try a bit?” an old woman spoke to him holding out a tray with some chocolate pieces.
“Thank you.” he bowed politely. The chocolate melted on his tongue as he tasted the sweet candy. “Hmm...They are good. Did you made them yourself?”
“No, our part timer made them. He wanted to try it out once and they turned out to be better than our usual ones.” she answered smiling. Pi returned the smile and looked around the booth. After all he was still searching for a present.
His eyes got caught by a stand of self-made gloves. There were sets of two and they had a lovely design. They were definitely for couples. He went closer and continued to look at the different designs.
“Can I help you?”
Pi turned to face the source of the voice. He didn't expect to see such a beautiful face, though. The voice was rather deep out the features of the guy had some girly parts. His eyes were sparkling and he had a warm, shy smile on his lips. His nose had kind of a weird shape but all in all the boy looked beautiful.
“May I help you, sir?” he asked again pulling Pi out of his thoughts.
“Uhmm...yeah...I'm searching for a present.” Pi said blushing slightly.
The boy nodded, “Does she have any special kind of taste?”
“He. Well, he likes skulls but otherwise cute stuff is ok too.”
“Ah. Sorry. We have some gloves with skulls over here.” The boy said guiding him to another stand, while he was blushing a bit.
“Wait. Don't get me wrong. I'm not searching for a present for my boyfriend. Not that I don't like boys, I've been on a date with a guy two times already but the present is for the boyfriend of a friend of mine. I'm single.” Pi took a deep breath after saying all this unnecessary stuff. He only realized what he said as he noticed the boy grinning at him. He couldn't help but feel embarrassed but smiled back nevertheless.
“Ok. I got it. But don't you think your friend should search for a present himself? I mean a present for a boyfriend or a girlfriend should come from the heart, right?”
“Well, I didn't tell him to send me to buy it. He particularly begged me to do it so...”
“We still have enough time before it's Christmas...why don't you tell him to come here instead?”
“Do you want me to go?” Pi said without thinking. He was totally confused by his own behaviour. He wasn't acting like he normally would. First he made it super clear that he is single (and interested in boys) and now he sounded almost as if he would sulk when the other send him away.
“Kamenashi Kazuya. My work ends in about an hour.” the boy, Kamenashi, said before he went back to the counter where a young pair waited to pay for their stuff.
Pi wasn't surprised that the other thought he would be interested but he was surprised that he himself sat down in the corner of the booth to wait for the boy. He liked the way the other smiled. And he liked to watch him from far. And his heart made a little jump when he thought that they were going to spend some time together after the other's work ends.
Too bad that in that moment one of his friends decided to walk by and talk to him.
“Hey Pi. What are you doing here all alone? Come with us. We are going to a club and it's been a while since you were with us.” YamaPi sighed. Somehow he didn't want his friend to know that he was waiting for a guy he didn't even knew and who was working at the Christmas market.
His friends always paid attention on where others came from. If they were rich or poor to be exact. They were all born into rich families so it was easy for them to judge others. Pi wasn't rich but since they were all friends since kindergarten it was no problem.
And that was why he simply nodded and left. He didn't look back or said goodbye. He just went off to go clubbing with his oh so cool friends in another stupid and expensive club.
As Kame finished his work and turned to look for Pi all he found was the empty seat. With a disappointed look and a slight pout he left the market and went home.

A/N: Well...actually I wanted this to be a Christmas story but school kept me really really busy lately...To the story: I really enjoy writing this and even if the plot isn't that exciting and the pairing isn't that popular I'm going to write it till the end! ^^ I know I still have one story to finish another one to start and a third one to continue so I'll just leave the first chapter here and wait for your thoughts :D
